Company Story
Heartland Surveying Services has been mapping Midwestern acreage since 1995. Our licensed Iowa PLS surveyors and field crews produce boundary surveys, topographic and design surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys for commercial transactions, FEMA elevation certificates, construction staking (building corners, offsets, roads, utilities), and as-built verification for completed site work. Field crews are equipped with Trimble R12i GNSS rovers, robotic total stations, and a dedicated drone unit for aerial topo on parcels above 20 acres.
Standard field hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM; weekend field work is coordinated on request. Typical turnaround on a residential boundary survey is 5–7 business days; commercial ALTA packages run 10–14 business days depending on record research and monument recovery complexity. We accept ACH, all major credit cards, and net-30 on approved credit accounts (typical credit review is 2 business days for licensed GCs and developers).
Clients get a stamped, sealed deliverable plus an AutoCAD DWG and a PDF plot. We hold our quoted fee for the duration of the project and we do not stack drive-time charges for any site within a 50-mile radius of the Des Moines office.
